Turf-Tenders is Hiring a Shop Mechanic Near Oak Park, MI
Join our team as a Shop Mechanic, where your primary focus will be ensuring the readiness and functionality of our fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment throughout the year. You will be responsible for the completion of repairs and maintenance, both in our shop and occasionally in the field. We value the expertise of our mechanics diagnosing and repairing small engines, contributing to the smooth operation of our business. Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including zero turns, weed whips, and other handheld tools
- Occasionally perform field repairs on trucks, trailers, or equipment
- Read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts for troubleshooting and repair purposes
Qualifications
- General knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance
- Experience in small engine repair
- Knowledge of two-stroke engine repair
- Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts
- Valid Driver’s license
- Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps (preferred)
- Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience (preferred)
- ASE certification (preferred)
Compensation
Compensation for this position is hourly and negotiable based on experience.
